Join us each week as we uncover the wonders of the natural prairie of Colorado.  Each week provides a unique learning opportunity, which will engage you and your child in investigations to stimulate curiosity, problem-solving and a love of the natural world.

Explore our 1,100-acre prairie with your school group. See animals such as prairie dogs, pronghorn, coyotes, hawks, owls, and songbirds with an interpretive naturalist.  Meet prairie reptiles and amphibians and see pelts, feathers, and view skulls in our indoor classroom.

The Plains Conservation Center offers many unique programs open to the general public. Join us and learn to make cheese, butter, soap and even wine! Get outdoors and experience the Colorado Prairie up close. View birds of prey. Come out for a Full Moon Walk and enjoy a bask in the beautiful light of the harvest moon as you imagine the winter preparations completed by Cheyenne Indians and Colorado homesteaders.
